What is this course?

This course develops the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond appropriately to individuals experiencing an anaphylactic reaction. It is designed for those working with people who may be at significant risk, including children, and supports safer emergency response in workplace, care, and educational settings.

Staff working with individuals at risk of anaphylaxis, including those in education, childcare, workplace, and care settings — particularly nurseries and other early years settings. Also useful for employers looking to strengthen emergency response awareness and for individuals responsible for supporting children or adults with severe allergies.

Suitable For

Entry Requirements

• Available to those aged 16 and over
• A sufficient command of the English language to understand the assessment
• Attendees must be physically capable of demonstrating first aid procedures as they would in a real work environment, including performing CPR on a casualty on the floor
