What is this course?
The Vehicle Mounted Post/Pile Driver course equips operatives with the essential knowledge and skills to safely operate vehicle-mounted post and pile driving machines, typically mounted on a vehicle or self-propelled on crawler tracks. These machines are widely used for installing posts for Vehicle Restraint Systems and general fencing. This one-day training focuses on understanding the hazards and risks associated with operating these machines, and the correct safe working practices, including the use of PPE. Participants gain insight into the machine's main components, controls, and safety features, along with essential pre-start, pre-use, and post-use safety checks, plus operational procedures for driving operations, changing the impact plate, and safely securing the machine for transport.
